Roman Orona takes you on a journey around the world of Indigenous Music. Indigenous Cafe brings you music, conversation and inspiration from the Indigenous People of North America and the Indigenous People from all over the world.
On this weeks journey, we are traveling with a show titled, “Positive Thought = Change; Quotes by The 14th Dalai Lama”
His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso describes himself as a simple Buddhist monk. He is the highest spiritual leader and former head of state of Tibet. He was born on July 6, 1935 to a farming family in Taktser, Amdo, in northeastern Tibet. He was forced to flee his home of Tibet in 1959 after China sent troops into the region because of protests to their anti-religious legislation. He sought refuge in India and for over six decades has been living in exile along with some 10,000 Tibetans.
